Adeel PK was born into a celebrated cinematic family in Lahore, Pakistan, making him a fourth-generation filmmaker. His father, Pervaiz Kaleem, is a renowned film writer and director known for shaping Pakistani cinema in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Growing up on film sets and editing floors, Adeel’s creative instincts were nurtured from a young age. He made his first on-screen appearance as a child actor in the film Moosa Khan, written and directed by his father. Inspired by the legacy around him, Adeel gravitated toward post-production, editing, sound, and storytelling—laying the groundwork for a career that would span every dimension of visual media.
Career
Adeel PK began his career as a video editor and quickly rose through the ranks of Pakistan’s film industry. By his early 20s, he was the lead post-production editor on some of the country’s highest-profile films:
